An alternative to Accelerator Keys

RibbonKeys is an alternative for Windows Alt-key shortcuts in Excel on a Mac: it draws the letters on the ribbon, and a lifetime licence is €39.99 once, including VAT. Accelerator Keys, on its pricing page checked 5 October 2026, sells Excel on one Mac for $39.99 a year.

That pricing page, which says it was last updated 2026-08-17, lists Pro at $59.99 a year for Excel and PowerPoint on two Macs, and describes Word as “coming Q3 2026”. RibbonKeys is Excel only. It does not add PowerPoint or Word.

RibbonKeys' trial is 7 days and asks for no account and no card. Accelerator Keys' trial is 14 days with no card, and its setup guide asks for an email address and a verification code. The rest of the comparison, including MacCove, Excel's own KeyTips and Parallels, is on the comparison page.

Free for 7 days, with no account and no card. After that €3.99 a month or €39.99 once, including VAT.
