Excel KeyTips on Mac, and where they differ from Windows
Excel for Mac has KeyTips of its own since 2024, switched off by default in Excel's settings under Accessibility, and as Microsoft introduced them some sequences differ from the Windows ones. RibbonKeys uses the Windows letters throughout, puts letters on the items of dropdowns and submenus, steps back one level with Esc, lets you hold Option down with the first letter, and accepts the menu keys of Excel 2003.
If Excel's own KeyTips do what you need, you do not need RibbonKeys. Excel for Mac also has shortcuts with the Command key. They differ from the Windows ones and reach only part of the ribbon.
